Position: Graphic Designer
Location: Dhaka (office based)
Application deadline: 6 January 2026

Preparation Guide

1. Understand the Role
• Design visuals for both digital (social media, web, ads) and print (banners, marketing collateral).
• Create layouts, typography and colour systems that follow brand guidelines.
• Work side‑by‑side with marketing and development teams on creative concepts.
• Contribute to website and UI/UX visuals, keeping usability in mind.
• Deliver final files ready for production or web deployment.
• Juggle several projects, meet tight deadlines and handle revision cycles efficiently.
• Keep up‑to‑date with the latest design trends, software updates and industry best practices.

2. Review Required Education & Experience
• Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) – make sure your degree is clearly listed on your CV.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in advertising agencies, software companies or development agencies.
• Fresh graduates are also welcome – highlight internships, academic projects or freelance work that demonstrate relevant skills.

3. Skill Checklist – Must‑have tools
• Adobe Illustrator – vector creation, logo design, icon sets.
• Adobe Photoshop – raster editing, photo retouching, compositing.
• Adobe InDesign – page layout for brochures, flyers and multi‑page PDFs.
• Adobe After Effects – motion graphics for social videos and ads.
• Adobe Premiere Pro – basic video editing for promotional clips.
• Adobe XD – wire‑framing, prototyping and UI design.
• Figma – collaborative UI/UX design and design system management.

Suggested extra focus:
• Strengthen illustration speed in Illustrator.
• Master colour grading and typography hierarchy in Photoshop.
• Build a solid portfolio of graphic design projects that showcase a range of deliverables (social posts, web banners, print pieces, UI screens).

4. Portfolio Preparation
• Assemble 8‑12 of your strongest pieces, mixing digital and print work.
• Include at least one UI/UX case study showing the process from wireframe to final screen.
• Provide brief project descriptions: client/brief, your role, tools used, challenges and outcomes.
• Optimize images for web (JPEG/PNG under 150 KB) and prepare a high‑resolution PDF for in‑person review.
• Host the portfolio on a clean personal website (use your own domain if possible) and create a short link for the recruiter.

5. Resume & Cover Letter
• Keep the resume to one page, using a clean layout and consistent typography.
• List software proficiency with proficiency level (e.g., Adobe Illustrator – Advanced).
• Highlight collaborative projects, especially where you worked with marketing or development teams.
• Mention any awards, certifications or courses related to graphic design and UI/UX.
• In the cover letter, reference Nassmind Ltd’s location (Mirpur, Dhaka) and express enthusiasm for contributing to a tech‑focused environment.
• Align your career goals with the benefits listed (weekly holidays, yearly salary review, festival bonuses).

6. Company Research
• Visit https://www.naasmind.com/ and explore their services, client portfolio and recent news.
• Identify the visual style used on their website and social channels – note colour palettes, typography and imagery.
• Prepare a few ideas on how you could enhance their visual communication or suggest a small redesign concept as a talking point.

7. Interview Preparation
• Expect a portfolio walkthrough – be ready to discuss the brief, your creative process, revisions and final impact for each showcased work.
• Prepare to answer scenario questions such as: “How do you handle conflicting feedback from marketing and development?” or “Describe a time you met a tight deadline without compromising quality.”
• Practice explaining design decisions in plain language for non‑design stakeholders.
• Review basic UI/UX principles (usability, accessibility, responsive design) as the role involves website visuals.
• Have a set of questions ready for the interviewer (e.g., team structure, design workflow, tools used, opportunities for professional development).

8. Application Submission
• Since online applying is enabled, locate the official application portal on the company website or the provided ApplyURL (if any).
• Upload the following documents in PDF format: resume, cover letter, portfolio PDF (or link to online portfolio).
• Double‑check that all personal details (name, contact number, email) are correct and that the files are named appropriately (e.g., “YourName_Resume.pdf”).
• Submit before the deadline – aim to complete the application at least two days in advance to avoid any technical issues.

9. Post‑Submission Follow‑Up
• Mark the deadline (6 Jan 2026) on your calendar.
• If you haven’t heard back within a week, send a polite email confirming receipt of your application and reiterating your interest.
